To pass the new Municipal act, the Telangana legislative assembly is all set to meet for two days i.e, on July 18 and July 19. The bill will be introduced on July 18 and all the legislators will be given a day time to go through it. After considerations, the bill will be passed on July 19. According to the chief minister’s office (CMO), the bill has been already finalised and has been sent to the Law Department for examination. After the bill is passed, the elections for the municipalities will be held in the state. He also held talks on the duties and responsibilities of the public representatives under the act. The new municipal act is aimed to eradicate corruption, development of cities and towns in the state.
