first_imgFacebook Twitter Google+LinkedInPinterestWhatsAppProvidenciales, TCI, November 21, 2016 – Nomination Day for the General Elections closed at 4pm on Friday, yet more than 48 hours later the Elections Office has not produced a list of those nominees; members of the public expressed concern about the sluggish pace of the process.Elections Supervisor Dudley Lewis told Magnetic Media that he expected to have all returns within hours on the same day, but that did not happen and up to Saturday morning there were still documents outstanding.There is no employment of technology in the transmission of information and if that continues, it very likely means general election results may take days to be known.  Lewis said the official list of nominees will be dispatched today.
