Greater Noida: A 25-year-old gang rape survivor was allegedly thrashed by three persons who demanded her to withdraw her complaint against them. Cops said that the woman was thrashed in Knowledge Park area of Greater Noida on Wednesday when she was going for work. According to police, the woman, a native of Vijay Nagar area in Ghaziabad, worked as a receptionist at a private college in Greater Noida. She was married to a man in Greater Noida around seven years ago. However, she broke up the marriage after being gang raped by a few persons from her in-laws and started living separately with her two kids. A case in relation with the incident was filed at Beta-II police station of Greater Noida while police had filed a charge-sheet in case and the hearing was scheduled on Thursday at Surajpur district court. “On Wednesday morning, a passerby informed police that a woman was lying on road and is critically injured. A police team rushed to the spot and took the victim to a nearby hospital from where doctors referred her to a hospital in Ghaziabad. The woman told police that she was going to receive her salary at the college, three bike borne criminals – Rahul, Sachin, and one unnamed – attacked her with iron rod,” said Arvind Pathak, Station House Officer at Knowledge Park police Station. Soon after victim filed a case against them, they have been threatening her to withdraw the case. Meanwhile, police have registered as case of attempt to murder against three named and one unnamed person based on the statement of the victim. “Based on the complaint received from victim, a case has been lodged under relevant sections of IPC against four persons. The victim have received serious injuries, efforts are being made to arrest them,” added Pathak.
